Happy Valentine’s Day!
Just a few words to say Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you. You have become a very important part of my life.
I hope all of you shared the day with someone important to you.
However, I hope you let the people in your life know how important they are to you and how much you love them at other times besides the holidays.
The loss of my first-born son, taught me how important it is to say “I love you,” when your loved ones walk out the day. One of things that bothered me when my son died, I kept trying to remember if I had said “I love you,” the last time we spoke on the phone or when you left to return to active duty.
Since then, I make sure I say it when speaking to my loved ones on the phone or when they are leaving my presence. I always want them to know how I feel about them always.
I want you to know I love you as well. For several weeks, you have allowed me to write and you have read my words. I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
