Part three of the courage to live your dreams, has to do with self-doubt. I have found that that self-doubt is the worst of the three. You can convince yourself you don’t have to worry about what others think or fear you might fail or succeed, but self-doubt comes from within.
There two voices in my head. They carry on conversations with me all the time. One is more outspoken than the other. I call the soft spoken one my guardian angel. She encourages me, tells me I can do it, not to be afraid, I have everything I need to succeed within me.
The outspoken one is the voice of the devil. The minute I have a thought of something I want to do, he comes out of hiding. He tells me what a loser I am. I am wasting my time. I should just give up. No one cares or is interested in anything I do.
He doesn’t just talk loud, he yells and bullies me. He really yells when he senses I am going to shut him down and listen to the angel. It is a battle I fight every day. Which one will I let win?
How about you? Are you filled with self-doubt? Do you struggle with making the right decisions for yourself?
The best way to handle self-doubt, is to forge ahead and do what you want. Once you make the decision to go after your dream, worry, fear, and self-doubt get out of the way. All it takes is a decision, the act of faith by creating your plan, and implementing it.
Such a small thing to gain the courage to live your dream. You have greatness within you and everything needed to make your dream a reality. So, come on. Make the decision and get going.
Until next time, take care. lw
